How to stop a sugar addiction

on Tuesday, October 14, 2014

Those who are seeking how to stop a sugar addiction must understand the root cause of the problem; there are more people who are complaining of an addiction to sweets than at any other time in recorder western medical history. Becoming addicted to sweets can create a host of problems; excessive sugars actually cause an accelerated aging of the body. Seeking how to stop a sugar addiction is crucial to the health of the body.

Are you really addicted?

It is important to know if you are really addicted, for example a person who must drink 2 cans of soda or more a day could very possibly be addicted to the sugars. It is possible to have strong sugar craving but not be fully addicted, this can lead to weight gain and possibly diabetes.  Most of us today are consuming high fructose corn syrup in our food, it is used in almost every single food (and beverage) today; it ruins the memory and hampers brain development. There is not one part of the body that is not affected by excessive sugars, the amount of high fructose corn syrup used today in a typical food (or beverage) leads to faster aging and deteriorating cell health.

A new study recently added to the mountain of evidence which shows our obsession with sugars is ruining our brains. Seeking how to stop a sugar addiction has become quite necessary for thousands who are in love with sweet foods.

Study: How our sweets are ruining our brains.

“It’s no secret that refined carbohydrates, particularly when consumed in soft drinks and other beverages, can lead to metabolic disturbances,” said study author Scott Kanoski, of the University of Southern California.

It gets worst; our cognitive functions are also being ruined by sweetened beverages

“However, our findings reveal that consuming sugar-sweetened drinks is also interfering with our brain’s ability to function normally and remember critical information about our environment, at least when consumed in excess before adulthood.” Said Kanoski

Sugar can be a very addictive substance; the brain develops an addiction to the sugary substance and will actually start to crave it.  Food addictions is based on the same brain cravings as a sugar addiction; will power does not reverse this but addressing the root causes can.  Thousands have stopped a food and sugar addiction by addressing the root cause.

Can't Stop eating Sugar? See Why

on Tuesday, December 17, 2013
The reason why you can't stop eating sugar is very scientific, it is wonderful when we learn the science behind food addictions and what you can do about it. Sugars are very potent substances and they can do very serious damage to the body, there are literally millions of people who are addicted to the taste of sweetness; this addiction is linked to many different inflammatory illnesses. Obesity, diabetes and accelerated aging are all directly linked to excessive sugars. There is a scientific reason why you can't stop eating sugar, according to researchers the substance afters brain chemicals and cause addiction.

How the brain creates the addiction to sugars

A study that was released this week showed the powerful affect that sugars have on the brain and how addictions are created. Although fat is a very addictive substance that can cause much health woes, a new study reveals sugars are worst. The study by the National Institutes of Health and published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition revealed to stunned researchers that sugars were so powerful a stimulus that they overshadowed fat, even when the two were combined in large amounts. The study highlighted the fact that both sugars and fats are highly addictive substances and effect brain chemicals.

Researchers continued

We do a lot of work on the prevention of obesity, and what is really clear not only from this study but from the broader literature over all is that the more sugar you eat, the more you want to consume it,” said Dr. Stice, a senior research scientist at the Oregon Research Institute. “As far as the ability to engage brain reward regions and drive compulsive intake, sugar seems to be doing a much better job than fat.”

The reason you cannot stop eating sugar it activates the “reward center” of the brain, this is the same region that is affected by drugs and alcohol.

Sugars can have a “drug like” effect which can contribute to obesity, diabetes and rapid aging.

How to stop the cycle

Only a diet created for sugar addiction has been shown to stop the brain urges for more of this very toxic substance. Will power does not stop the constant brain cravings, only a diet created for sugar addiction did work.

Willpower does not address the underlying causes of why you can't stop eating sugar, will power will fail. As we have seen in the University study this is a very serious addiction. It was shown in over 10 countries that only a diet created for sugar addiction worked to stop the addiction.

Are you a sugar addict? How the food makers create illness

on Wednesday, December 4, 2013
Are you a sugar addict? If you are it is important to know exactly why this substance is used so heavily in the food industry, the white powder is causing serious illness to many people. A new study has revealed that sugars in excessive are now linked to cancer. What may be even scarier is that the addictive quality of the white substance has food makers using more for bigger profits. If you are a sugar addict it is important to address this addiction, not addressing the sweets habit can open you up to serious illnesses.

A new study the National Institutes of Health revealed that drinking sugary-sweetened beverages are associated with an increased risk for endometrial cancer in women, this study is not the first to find a link between sugary drinks and cancer. Most foods today combine table sugars with high fructose corn syrup (HFCS)causing a double danger to the health of the person who loves sweets. HFCS is a very danger substance that has been shown to have a link to cancer.

The present study results were in the New York Times.

The study, published online in Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention, found that all sugars increased the risk for endometrial cancer, but sugary-sweetened drinks had the greatest effect. Those in the highest one-fifth for sweet drink consumption had a 74 percent higher risk than those in the lowest one-fifth. If you are a sugar addict it is important to take this very seriously.

The failure of will power and dieting

Sweetened foods have a huge addictive quality that effects the brain, typical diet cannot break a sugary addiction; science has revealed that it is almost impossible to stop eating heavily sweetened foods. Once you have developed a love of sweets the brain reward system keeps asking for more sugars.

The plain facts of the matter is that if you are addicted to sugars the cells of your body are under attack, this attack can cause cellular changes which introduces cancer, heart disease and diabetes in the body.

How to stop being an sugar addict

Only a diet created for food and sugar addiction has been shown to stop the brain urges for this very toxic substance. Will power does not stop the constant brain cravings, a diet created for sugar addiction did work. The diet stopped the brain addicted at the emotional root.

Willpower does not address the underlying causes but emotional and physical, only a diet created for food addiction and sugar addiction was shown to work in 10 countries.

How to stop eating, the answer

on Thursday, August 29, 2013
Many who cannot control their appetites would like to know how to stop eating; it is clear from science that there is a healthy way to control food portions, it is essential to learn why we overeat and how to control this. There are over 50 million people in the United States who admit to a food addiction or the inability to control how much they eat, how to stop eating or overeating is best understood when we explorer the science behind appetite.

Appetite is controlled by many hormones which react in the brain; those who have a hard time controlling the amounts of food that they eat have hormones which may be over firing. Dr. Monteleone, MD, of the University of Naples SUN in Italy revealed that he physiological process underlying overeating involves hormones and the brain.

“The physiological process underlying hedonic(pleasure) eating is not fully understood, but it is likely that endogenous substances regulating reward mechanisms like the hormone ghrelin and chemical compounds such as 2-arachidonoylglycerol (2-AG) are involved.”

It is clear that hormones are responsible for how much we eat, in addition to ghrelin; the hormone insulin has been shown to play a major role in how much food we eat and how hungry we get.  How to stop eating should best be understood as a complex working of hormones in the brain, but research shows that this can be controlled when the brain triggers are deactivated.

Willpower does not eliminate overeating; there exist a delicate balance which involves emotions, stresses and other brain triggers that create the 'high” and urge people to eat more even when they know they should not. Emotional triggers activate brain hormones creating the 'urge” to eat, but this can be deactivated when the brain triggers are naturally addressed.

A diet created for people have a hard time controlling the appetite worked to deactivate emotional triggers which tell people to eat more.  People in over 10 countries learned to reverse overeating by deactivating the brain triggers which cause the urge to eat; few diets can deactivate the brain hormones which causes overeating but one has been working in over 10 countries

Sugar in the diet...How the brain is damaged

on Wednesday, April 10, 2013

The abuse of Sugar in the diet today is causing brain damage according scientist at UCLA, they show how the sweetener damages the brain in amounts that we find normal and typical today. The amount of sweetener that is being consumed in the typical United States diet is far from what one would call “normal”, the blame goes beyond the consumer, the amount of sugar in the diet has increased in part due to the food makers including sweetener in foods at ridiculous levels which are also extremely dangerous.

This is your brain in sugar

A new UCLA study is the first to show how a diet steadily high in fructose slows the brain, hampering memory and learning, if you have an addiction to the sweetener it is very important that reverse this problem to save the cells of your body, what you may think is a normal amount of the sweetener is still probably too much. According to doctors it is not just the white powder that is causes the problem, the damage from “sugar in the diet” is coming from a second sweetener that is added to foods, check the label of any sweetened beverage or food and you will find the ingredient high fructose corn syrup.

Here is how it looks on the label

This is a poison in the body and when combined with regular sugar it is a combination that will leave you very overweight, addicted, diabetic, speeding your aging and even causing early death.

"Our findings illustrate that what you eat affects how you think," said Fernando Gomez-Pinilla, a professor of neurosurgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and a professor of integrative biology and physiology in the UCLA College of Letters and Science. "Eating a high-fructose diet over the long term alters your brain's ability to learn and remember information.

The doctor continues "Our study shows that a high-fructose diet harms the brain as well as the body. This is something new."

The brain damage that he says is something new, is not something new, it has been know for years that HFCS and regular sweetener damages the brain. Sugar in the diet today is not like 30 years ago, the amounts are more than normal in today's foods. We need to break this addiction but it is not easy but over 1,000 people stropped the sugar addiction

Addicted to Sugar...Help

on Tuesday, April 9, 2013

“I am addicted to sugar” it is a common complaint and it is a very serious condition that changes the structure of your brain as well as causes overeating. One of the most astonishing facts about over consumption of the sweetener is that it causes wrinkles and speeds aging. There is a science and biological cause behind all addictions, this included illegal drugs, being addicted to sugar is no joke, it can do some very horrible things to the cells of the body.

Did you know that an addiction to this common table sweetener can make you look old before your time? Wrinkles on the faces and hands are directly related to over consumption of this natural sweetener? The cells of the body are very reactive to what we eat, a natural process that's known as glycation happens when you consume sugar, in your bloodstream the sweetener attaches to proteins to form harmful new molecules called advanced glycation end products (or, AGEs for short).

The more of the sweetener in your body the more AGEs you develop. It msst be stated that in moderation the sweetener is safe but being addicted to sugar ages the body from deep within the cell.

"As AGEs accumulate, they damage adjacent proteins in a domino-like fashion," explains Fredric Brandt, MD

The over-consumption of sweets  is not a harmless addiction, it is a very serious condition that effects millions each day, this problem goes way beyond the white power on the table, sugars have been added to almost every food on the market, even canned vegetables contain sweeteners. Are you addicted to sugar?  it must be controlled

Help for sugar addiction may stop your overeating

on Sunday, April 7, 2013

Those seeking help for a sugar addiction should understand how the brain reacts when  we eat too much fructose, the results are very amazing in the researchers have shown that an abundance of fructose causes overeating. The way the brain's processing of fructose works can cause you serious health complications. Getting help for sugar addiction will save the body and the brain, artificial sweeteners are not a good substitute, they are dangerous poisons in the bloodstream.

This is your brain on Fructose

Fructose and high-fructose corn syrup has been added to practically every sweetened beverage on the market, check the ingredients in any sweetened beverage and you will probably see HFCS (high fructose corn syrup), what is even more amazing is that most drinks contain (sugar and HFCS) Why the double punch? Are the combinations of these sweeteners causing you to become addicted?  Is this the cause of your overeating? Researchers are showing that high-fructose corn syrup may be behind your overeating. Help for sugar addiction is critically important and must not be ignored, Splenda, Equal and Sweet and Low are poisons and are not safe alternatives.

Your Brain, Overeating and HFCS

The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), scientists used magnetic resonance imaging, or MRI, scans to track blood flow in the brain in 20 young, normal-weight people before and after they had drinks containing glucose or fructose in two sessions spaced several weeks apart.

The brain scans showed that drinking glucose "turns off or suppresses the activity of areas of the brain that are critical for reward and desire for food," said one study leader, Dr. Robert Sherwin, chief of endocrinology at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Conn.
With fructose, "we don't see those changes," he said. "As a result, the desire to eat continues -- it isn't turned off.

This is incredible information, it shows that sugar can cause you to want more food, how many of us have consumed large sodas only to need a refill in a very short time. The damages to the the body and brain from excess sugars are clear. Help for a sugar addiction is very important and not easy, this is because sugars are more addictive than cocaine
