Can’t control appetite and sugar? What to do about it

on Sunday, October 19, 2014

If you cannot control your appetite and sugar consumption it can be a problem which leads to obesity, weight gain and diabetes. The amount of sugars which are consumed by the average person today was virtually unheard of just a few decades ago. It may come as a surprise to most people but the fact that people are not controlling their appetites and sugar consumption is largely due to the food manufacturers.

How we become addicted

The food manufacturers have a vested interest in creating food addictions, the amounts of sugars that are used in manufactured foods can literally cause an addiction to the substance; this also results in repeat customer purchases.  All addictions to sweeteners originate in the brain.

Nicole Avena, Neuroscientist and research psychologist at Columbia University demonstrated how sugar creates alterations in the brain which are very similar to what happens when a person develops an addiction to drugs.

In lab experiments with animal subjects she showed how overeating tasty foods (like sugar) can produce changes in the brain and behavior that resemble addiction. The brain will literally crave the sweet substance.  There are millions of people today who have a soda addiction; the cause of this is due to the amount of sugars that are included in the beverage; to make matters worst the canned sodas all include high fructose corn syrups. Numerous of studies have linked high fructose corn syrups to cancer.

If you can’t control appetite or your sugar consumption you should be aware that excessive sugars are linked to rapid aging of the cells.  Sugar abuse is not only a problem from overweight people; thin people who consume a lot of sugars have the same health risks as those who are overweight.

The root cause of all food addictions reside in the emotions, the same chemicals which create addictions in the brain are the same chemicals which are linked to emotions.

Researchers have shown that will power does not work to stop a sugar addiction; the only solution was a very specific diet that actually included sugar. This was how the addiction was broken in thousands of people.

Can't Stop eating Sugar? See Why

on Tuesday, December 17, 2013
The reason why you can't stop eating sugar is very scientific, it is wonderful when we learn the science behind food addictions and what you can do about it. Sugars are very potent substances and they can do very serious damage to the body, there are literally millions of people who are addicted to the taste of sweetness; this addiction is linked to many different inflammatory illnesses. Obesity, diabetes and accelerated aging are all directly linked to excessive sugars. There is a scientific reason why you can't stop eating sugar, according to researchers the substance afters brain chemicals and cause addiction.

How the brain creates the addiction to sugars

A study that was released this week showed the powerful affect that sugars have on the brain and how addictions are created. Although fat is a very addictive substance that can cause much health woes, a new study reveals sugars are worst. The study by the National Institutes of Health and published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition revealed to stunned researchers that sugars were so powerful a stimulus that they overshadowed fat, even when the two were combined in large amounts. The study highlighted the fact that both sugars and fats are highly addictive substances and effect brain chemicals.

Researchers continued

We do a lot of work on the prevention of obesity, and what is really clear not only from this study but from the broader literature over all is that the more sugar you eat, the more you want to consume it,” said Dr. Stice, a senior research scientist at the Oregon Research Institute. “As far as the ability to engage brain reward regions and drive compulsive intake, sugar seems to be doing a much better job than fat.”

The reason you cannot stop eating sugar it activates the “reward center” of the brain, this is the same region that is affected by drugs and alcohol.

Sugars can have a “drug like” effect which can contribute to obesity, diabetes and rapid aging.

How to stop the cycle

Only a diet created for sugar addiction has been shown to stop the brain urges for more of this very toxic substance. Will power does not stop the constant brain cravings, only a diet created for sugar addiction did work.

Willpower does not address the underlying causes of why you can't stop eating sugar, will power will fail. As we have seen in the University study this is a very serious addiction. It was shown in over 10 countries that only a diet created for sugar addiction worked to stop the addiction.

How to stop eating, the answer

on Thursday, August 29, 2013
Many who cannot control their appetites would like to know how to stop eating; it is clear from science that there is a healthy way to control food portions, it is essential to learn why we overeat and how to control this. There are over 50 million people in the United States who admit to a food addiction or the inability to control how much they eat, how to stop eating or overeating is best understood when we explorer the science behind appetite.

Appetite is controlled by many hormones which react in the brain; those who have a hard time controlling the amounts of food that they eat have hormones which may be over firing. Dr. Monteleone, MD, of the University of Naples SUN in Italy revealed that he physiological process underlying overeating involves hormones and the brain.

“The physiological process underlying hedonic(pleasure) eating is not fully understood, but it is likely that endogenous substances regulating reward mechanisms like the hormone ghrelin and chemical compounds such as 2-arachidonoylglycerol (2-AG) are involved.”

It is clear that hormones are responsible for how much we eat, in addition to ghrelin; the hormone insulin has been shown to play a major role in how much food we eat and how hungry we get.  How to stop eating should best be understood as a complex working of hormones in the brain, but research shows that this can be controlled when the brain triggers are deactivated.

Willpower does not eliminate overeating; there exist a delicate balance which involves emotions, stresses and other brain triggers that create the 'high” and urge people to eat more even when they know they should not. Emotional triggers activate brain hormones creating the 'urge” to eat, but this can be deactivated when the brain triggers are naturally addressed.

A diet created for people have a hard time controlling the appetite worked to deactivate emotional triggers which tell people to eat more.  People in over 10 countries learned to reverse overeating by deactivating the brain triggers which cause the urge to eat; few diets can deactivate the brain hormones which causes overeating but one has been working in over 10 countries

How sugar causes wrinkles and ages the body

on Wednesday, July 10, 2013
A new study has shown that Sugar has a powerful effect on our cells and can cause the formation of skin wrinkling and aging. The use of the sweetener in moderation is fine but the typical amounts included in the standard American diet is above what is would be considered healthy, researchers recently discovered that sugar can be as dangerous to the skin as the Sun. Wrinkling, aging cells and general body deterioration are all related to the amount of sugars we consume.

How do sugars age the body

Doctors at The American Academy of Dermatology revealed the process of how sugars interact with the cells of the skin, it was clear that sugars can have a damaging effect on the skin; sugars have the ability to age the body from the inside out. Most of us are familiar with collagen, in the simplest terms collagen is what holds your skin elasticity, if you have little collagen damage you look younger; the sun, smoking and sugar causes damage to the skin collagen. Sugar love to attach to your collagen from when sugars enter your bloodstream.

This was explained by Dr Farris of The American Academy of Dermatology

"One of the molecules (sugar) loves to attach to is collagen and also elastin. So these molecules, which of course keep your skin plump, keep your skin firm and wrinkle free, actually become damaged during the glycation process," Dr. Farris said

Sugar addiction is real, sugars are very addictive substance that can take over your diet, switching to artificial sweeteners are not a good option; artificial sweeteners are linked to cancer, diabetes and heart disease. It may surprise people to know that artificial sweeteners Splenda(sucralose),Equal( Aspartame) and Sweet and Low( saccharin) are all chemical creations and can damage the organs of the body. The bottom line is that you must address your diet and your possible addiction to sugars, there is only one diet in the world that has been proven to stop sugar addition. The diet reversed the drug like effect of sweeteners so you can ingest sugar safely. This was proven in over 10 countries

Can't stop eating sugar: How the food manufacturers cause an addiction

on Wednesday, June 26, 2013
If you are one of the many thousands who can't stop eating sugar there is a very good reason why this is occurs, the food manufacturers are adding extreme amounts of sweetener to common foods. Excess sugars can create an addiction to the substance. Despite the incredible numbers of diets on the market today studies from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) shows that obesity is increasing, not decreasing. All forms of sugars can be addictive and many people simply cannot stop eating sugar. The over-consumption of sweeteners are causing health complications such as heart attack and stroke, sugar are linked to aging and even early death.

Sugar and children

Researchers used data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, a continuous examination of a large cross-section of the American population. Cynthia L. Ogden, the senior author and an epidemiologist with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said that added sugars account for 27 percent of the calories in a chocolate chip cookie, 17 percent in a blueberry muffin, 42 percent in sugar-sweetened cereal and 91 percent in a can of cola. These extreme amounts of sweetener can become addictive, there are literally thousands of people who can't stop eating sugar. Please understand that the abuse of sugars are linked to major damage to the organs of the body. The generation of young people today consume more sugars than any previous generation in the history of the United States. The Food manufacturers are using amounts of sweetener that borders on obscene. The amounts in foods should really be illegal.

If studies show these ridiculous amounts of sweetener cause death and heart complications why is it legal to sell food with 3 times the amount of sugar than the body can use? The people have become addicted, they can't stop eating sugar.

The C.D.C. recommends that no more than 5 to 7 percent of calories come from solid fats and added sugars.

But many of our children are consuming 3 times this amount

Boys 12 to 19 consumed 17.5 percent of their calories as added sugar, and adolescent girls, 16.6 percent.

What is most alarming is that fact that adults are consuming similar amounts of sugars as the children. Sugars are addictive and cause damage to the body, excess sugars in the bloodstream cause heart, liver, and kidney failure. This site has revealed to thousands that excess sugars cause wrinkling of the skin. This is the number one site for information on sugars and how can lead to serious health complications. health problems. If you can't stop eating sugar it is due to the fact that the sweetener is an addictive substance that your body and brain will crave. It is not uncommon to see people using 7 or 8 packets of sweetener in a cup of coffee.

There is some good news, a European diet now used in over 10 countries to stop a sugar addiction in 48 hours. It has been proven to work in thousands of people. See here Stop Sugar Addiction

Why you can't stop eating sugar?

on Thursday, June 20, 2013
Why you can't stop eating sugar is rooted in the brain, the sweetener is scientifically proven to be addictive, those who cannot stop eating this sweets are not alone, there are literally millions of people with a sugar addiction. A Princeton University study reveals that the sweetener can be extremely addictive and also increase fat on the stomach. There are over 100 million in the United States who are overweight, diets for the most part are failing, it is time to look at what really causes weight gain and how to reverse this, learning “why” you can't stop eating sugar will help you understand the addiction.

Georgina Coade, a PhD student at the University of Bristol in the U.K.
"Our results suggest that high levels of fructose, which may result from eating a diet high in fructose, throughout childhood may lead to an increase in visceral [abdominal] obesity, which is associated with increased cardiometabolic risk," Coade said.
The Study above reveals that it is the stomach where the fat is stored after ingesting sugars, the cells of the body are literally changed when you ingest excess sugars. We have become largely a society in the addicted to sugars, we are using amounts that are not moderate; we have an increasing desire for an intense amount of sweetness in our food. We have developed an unhealthy need for tense sweetness, the problem with sugars is that they can become highly addictive.

Researchers at Princeton University studies the brain changes in animals that were feed sugars and then suddenly had their sugars removed; the results confirmed the brain addiction.
Researchers feed animals a sugar heavy diet for a period of time and then the animals had their sugar cut off by researchers; they did not handle this well. The mice needed some other drug like substance to replace the sugars; the mice binged on alcohol to make up for the denial of the sugars.

These results indicate that the sugars had created an addiction in the brain.

Princeton University lead by Professor Bart Hoebel concluded.

"We have the first set of comprehensive studies showing the strong suggestion of sugar addiction in rats and a mechanism that might underlie it," Hoebel said. The findings eventually could have implications for the treatment of humans with eating disorders, he said.

"If bingeing on sugar is really a form of addiction, there should be long-lasting effects in the brains of sugar addicts," Hoebel said. "Craving and relapse are critical components of addiction, and we have been able to demonstrate these behaviors in sugar-bingeing rats in a number of ways."

How to break the sugar cycle

A regular diet or will power does not stop a sugar addiction, the effects on the brain from the sweetener is too strong for will power.

How many of us have try to just stop eating sugars and we simply fail? The reason for the failure is because the brain will demand the sugar. There is some good news, there is a sugar addiction diet that has been reversing sugar addiction in over 10 countries See here

I have a Diet Coke Addiction: Linked to Brain Damage

on Tuesday, May 14, 2013
If you have a diet coke addiction it is very important that you understand that researchers have found a direct connection between artificially sweetened soda and brain damage. With obesity and diabetes growing at an incredible rate many people have switched to sugar free drinks as a way to cut calories but this may be a horrible decision. A diet coke addiction may be leading you on the road to brain damage, this is a very serious warning for those who drink sugar free beverages.

Artificially sweetened drink and the brain

It must be stated plainly that all artificial sugars are a chemical creation, there is absolutely nothing natural in a diet drink. The artificial sweetener in all sugar free drinks is a chemical called aspartame, this chemical is many times sweeter than natural cane sugar, it is a very strong chemical that has been linked to various cancers and other diseases. What may be most astonishing is the fact that recent studies show that aspartame has a very dangerous effect on the brain, diet coke addiction may cause you serious complications.

Researchers at University of Pretoria and the University of Limpopo and published in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition showed the very dangerous effects of artificial sweeteners. The review of prior research found that aspartame, marketed as NutraSweet or Equal, leads to both direct and indirect changes in the brain.

"We propose that excessive aspartame ingestion might be involved in the pathogenesis of certain mental disorders, and also in compromised learning and emotional functioning," the researchers concluded.

How a diet soda effects the brain is quite scary, the chemical in the diet drink changes your brain cells

The researchers noted that aspartame caused excessive firing of nerve cells, brain cell damage and even death to brain nerve cells. The information gets worst, the effect on the brain was immediate and powerful.

"The energy systems for certain required enzyme reactions become compromised, thus indirectly leading to the inability of enzymes to function optimally," the researchers wrote.

If you have a diet coke addiction the effects on your brain may been setting you up for long term health problems, only one diet has been shown in over 10 countries to stop a diet soda addiction. Will power will not stop this addiction, you will find yourself reaching for the soda again. Aspartame is a strong drug habit to break but thousands of people stopped all food, sugar and a diet coke addiction with a diet created for food addictions now used in over 10 countries.

Why you can't stop eating sugary foods

on Monday, April 29, 2013

Those who cannot stop eating sugary foods should understand that the food makers do this purpose to hijack your brain and create an addiction to their food, this can have serious consequences for your health. As more and more people suffer with obesity we are seeing an increase related to the damaging effects of being overweight. Those who cannot stop eating sugary foods should know that the damage being done to their bodies can lead to very serious illnesses. The food chemicals that cause the sugar addiction are purposely added to the foods.

When we are speaking of sugar today you must be aware that we are often speaking about High fructose corn syrup, this is used in almost every sweetened food and beverage today and it is a poison, it is not natural. High Fructose Corn syrup is an addictive poison purposely added by the food manufacturers, they know it is addictive and they use this to get you hooked. Stopping HFCS is extremely difficult it is added to almost all foods today and it is stronger than cocaine, this is why you can't stop eating sugary foods.

The addiction and the weight gain

Researchers in France showed that High Fructose Corn syrup was a stronger addiction than cocaine, this amazing study showed mice who were cocaine addicted passing up the cocaine for increasing levels of high fructose corn syrup, the amounts( of HFCS) in a can of soda or Snapple is more than the equivalent that the mice received.

The French researchers of the study concluded: Affiliation: University B

Our findings clearly demonstrate that intense sweetness can surpass cocaine reward, even in drug-sensitized and addicted individuals.

The data is so overwhelming the field has to accept it,’said Nora Volkow, director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse. ‘We are finding tremendous overlap between drugs in the brain and food in the brain.’

Sugar addiction is real and responsible for the belly weight that millions are carrying, the abuse of sugars are fueling our obesity, diabetes and belly fat. Dieying does not work to stop this, we have all tried dieting and failed, only a diet created by science to stop this addiction worked.

You can't simple use will power to stop eating sugary food, only a diet created for sugar addiction can break this, this worked in over 1,000 people in Europe see here How to stop a sugery food addction

I am Addicted to Sugar what should I do: There is an answer

on Sunday, April 14, 2013

If you are addicted to sugar and are wondering what to do it is important to realize that the addiction stronger than cocaine addiction, it is also important to know that artificial sweeteners are not a good substitute because they cause cancer and other health problems. There are millions of people who use Splenda,Equal and other sweeteners unaware they are extremely dangerous. If you are addicted to sugar you must break the addiction.

The increase in sugar consumption worldwide

The amounts of sugars that are consumed today are far from moderate and far from healthy, in part this is not your fault, the food manufacturers have hooked you on their products by added unnatural amounts of the sweetener to your food. A soda may not seem very sweet but hiding in the can is an un- natural amount of sweetener that can start an addiction. A can of Coke has 39 grams sugars in it(there are 4 grams in a simple teaspoon)we can see how one can may get you addicted to sugar because the math shows us that a can of coke has 10 teaspoons of sweetener in it. The situation is worst because they use high fructose corn syrup which is a “created sweetener”, it is dangerous, causing diabetes and obesity.

If you have a sugar addiction this is a very difficult habit to break, the addiction is stronger than an addiction to cocaine.

Researchers in France showed that sugar is a stronger addiction than cocaine, what is even more startling is the fact that cocaine addicted animals still chose the sweetener over the drug, they were hooked in on the sweetener. The University researchers concluded

Our findings clearly demonstrate that intense sweetness can surpass cocaine reward, even in drug-sensitized and -addicted individuals. We speculate that the addictive potential of intense sweetness results from an inborn hypersensitivity to sweet tastants.

If you are one of the millions saying “I am addicted to sugar” take this very seriously, this addiction is linked to cancer, heart disease and early death. Only a diet created for an addiction to the sweetener works. See below

How Sugar in the Diet causes wrinkles and speeds Aging

on Friday, April 12, 2013

Over-consumption of sugar in the diet can have some very terrible effects on the body, the major problem that we have with the sweetener today is due to the over consumption. What many people may not know is that the amount of the sweetener they consume has a direct effect on how they look and how fast that their cells age. Sugar in the diet can cause you to simply look older and age faster.

How the body processes sugars

When you eat something that has glucose in it there is an amazing cellular reaction, your cells have small sensors that detect the sugars and this is a good thing, the sugars are then processed and gives you healthy energy. The problem occurs when the sensors are constantly detecting sugars, it causes a speed up of the cellular aging process, this creates aged wrinkled skin and literally ages the body faster. We can see than excessive sugar in the diet has your cell sensors working on overtime, this was proven in Canada

Professors Pascal Chartrand and Gerardo Ferbeyre at Université de Montréal Biochemistry

The research team found that the lifespan of cells increased when glucose was decreased from their meals, the lifespan increased was due to a decrease in signaling to the cells by the glucose sensor. The more sugar consumed the more the sensors fired this process worn out(aged) the cells. The study revealed that sugar in the diet can speed up the aging of the cells.

"Thanks to this study, the link between the rise in age-related diseases and the over-consumption of sugar in today's diet is clearer. says Professor Rokeach.

The skin and body of a sugar addicted person is literally aging faster.

Sugar in the diet...How the brain is damaged

on Wednesday, April 10, 2013

The abuse of Sugar in the diet today is causing brain damage according scientist at UCLA, they show how the sweetener damages the brain in amounts that we find normal and typical today. The amount of sweetener that is being consumed in the typical United States diet is far from what one would call “normal”, the blame goes beyond the consumer, the amount of sugar in the diet has increased in part due to the food makers including sweetener in foods at ridiculous levels which are also extremely dangerous.

This is your brain in sugar

A new UCLA study is the first to show how a diet steadily high in fructose slows the brain, hampering memory and learning, if you have an addiction to the sweetener it is very important that reverse this problem to save the cells of your body, what you may think is a normal amount of the sweetener is still probably too much. According to doctors it is not just the white powder that is causes the problem, the damage from “sugar in the diet” is coming from a second sweetener that is added to foods, check the label of any sweetened beverage or food and you will find the ingredient high fructose corn syrup.

Here is how it looks on the label

This is a poison in the body and when combined with regular sugar it is a combination that will leave you very overweight, addicted, diabetic, speeding your aging and even causing early death.

"Our findings illustrate that what you eat affects how you think," said Fernando Gomez-Pinilla, a professor of neurosurgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and a professor of integrative biology and physiology in the UCLA College of Letters and Science. "Eating a high-fructose diet over the long term alters your brain's ability to learn and remember information.

The doctor continues "Our study shows that a high-fructose diet harms the brain as well as the body. This is something new."

The brain damage that he says is something new, is not something new, it has been know for years that HFCS and regular sweetener damages the brain. Sugar in the diet today is not like 30 years ago, the amounts are more than normal in today's foods. We need to break this addiction but it is not easy but over 1,000 people stropped the sugar addiction

Help for sugar addiction may stop your overeating

on Sunday, April 7, 2013

Those seeking help for a sugar addiction should understand how the brain reacts when  we eat too much fructose, the results are very amazing in the researchers have shown that an abundance of fructose causes overeating. The way the brain's processing of fructose works can cause you serious health complications. Getting help for sugar addiction will save the body and the brain, artificial sweeteners are not a good substitute, they are dangerous poisons in the bloodstream.

This is your brain on Fructose

Fructose and high-fructose corn syrup has been added to practically every sweetened beverage on the market, check the ingredients in any sweetened beverage and you will probably see HFCS (high fructose corn syrup), what is even more amazing is that most drinks contain (sugar and HFCS) Why the double punch? Are the combinations of these sweeteners causing you to become addicted?  Is this the cause of your overeating? Researchers are showing that high-fructose corn syrup may be behind your overeating. Help for sugar addiction is critically important and must not be ignored, Splenda, Equal and Sweet and Low are poisons and are not safe alternatives.

Your Brain, Overeating and HFCS

The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), scientists used magnetic resonance imaging, or MRI, scans to track blood flow in the brain in 20 young, normal-weight people before and after they had drinks containing glucose or fructose in two sessions spaced several weeks apart.

The brain scans showed that drinking glucose "turns off or suppresses the activity of areas of the brain that are critical for reward and desire for food," said one study leader, Dr. Robert Sherwin, chief of endocrinology at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Conn.
With fructose, "we don't see those changes," he said. "As a result, the desire to eat continues -- it isn't turned off.

This is incredible information, it shows that sugar can cause you to want more food, how many of us have consumed large sodas only to need a refill in a very short time. The damages to the the body and brain from excess sugars are clear. Help for a sugar addiction is very important and not easy, this is because sugars are more addictive than cocaine

Sugar in the diet can be a poison

on Wednesday, April 3, 2013

Sugar in the diet can be a poison if you are one of the many who have an addiction to this sweet substance, this sweetener can be a wonderful addition to your meals but in excess it can be a deadly poison to the cells of the body. The cravings for the sweetener can start in the womb and the effects on the health can be detrimental. Sugar in the diet can be a poison if portions are not controlled, the effects on the body can be damaging

Why is the Sweetener so harmful?

It must be stated that this sweetener can be good in moderation, the problems occur when people develop an addiction to it, this is where so many lose the body. How did we become sugar addicted? The history of sugar is a beautiful one until we reach the middle 1970's, this is when the food industry started added the sweetener to many food products that never used much if any sugar before.

Today it is standard to include sugar in bread, pancakes, bagels, muffins, crackers, etc..If you can name it they have added sugar to it. The results of all this sugar is a generation of people who need more than normal amounts in their food and drink. Sugar in the diet was introduced slowly and then the amounts were increased as more people became dependent on excess. Today we are seeing children as young as 5 who are already abusing sugar according to the Center for Disease control (CDC)

Addicted?

Sugar addiction is real, it is a scientific fact, brain scans are showing doctors and researchers for the first time how the sweetener behaves in the body, the results are really shocking. This simple sweetener has become abused and is effecting the health in a horrible way. The addiction is strong, sugar in the diet when abused can be stronger than the drug cocaine.
